What We Do

What We Do

The Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa (CTOA) is a visionary, unique and professional organisation that grows young people between the ages of 12-24 across various satellite hubs in the Auckland region.

Our point of difference is that through our mentoring programmes in music, film and photography young people get to directly engage and connect with people working in the creative industries.
This enables them to learn about a wide range of industry relationships, knowledge and skills.

They benefit from exposure to real-world industry experience and training, including employment opportunities and access to further education pathways.

The focus is slightly different with each individual, but the goal remains the same; to empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life

Provide mentoring and training for our young people in their chosen field (music, media, production, events)

Provide an environment in which our young people can creatively express
themselves Help them overcome internal and external barriers to success

Provide support and care to our young people. Help raise self-awareness and
confidence Assist our young people to develop their own formula for success

Guide our young people to understand and strengthen the concept of “character”
Help our young people fully realise their potential, via strong relationships
between themselves, others and the environment
Help our young people develop their sense of self-worth
Help our young people to have the confidence to accept and enjoy success

Help our young people build trust and learn co-operation with each other
Operate in a drug and alcohol free environment
Build an understanding of the importance of fostering quality relationships
and contributing positively to the wider community (whanau)
